Dawn and Dusk at Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari is the southernmost point of Indian mainland, in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is is famous for the confluence of the three seas and oceans that surround Indian subcontinent, viz. The Bay if Bengal, The Arabian Sea and The Indian Ocean. There is literally nothing but water after the land ends here and at parts, if you fly straight, you might even reach Antarctica from there. Pretty far, eh?!

"Transition"

So, I was there on an office trip and I couldn't but just get mesmerised by the colours the sky offers at dawn and dusk. The golden and blue hours at Kanyakumari beaches render vibrant colours with huge boulders and rocks to act as foreground subjects. Hence, it is a dream for landscape photographers to capture sunrise and sunsets at Kanyakumari. Well, I was on an office trip and didn't have all my gears. All I had was a DX body and a DX ultra wide lens and a small gorilla pod.

Sunset Point, Kanyakumari

Here are some more images from my trip to the seas of Kanyakumari where the heavens had dawned upon us.
